elinens Review - Zebra Print Duvet Set

People say there is nothing better than freshly laundered bed linen, but I'm one of those people who prefer the feel of a fresh "out of the packet" crisp duvet on my bed. So when elinens gave me the opportunity to review a new duvet set, I couldn't wait to get it on the bed and dive in!

The duvet set I chose to review was a zebra print cover. The design was fresh, modern and one which I think would appeal to many people. Animal print is by far one of the most popular choices when it comes to bed linen.

The double duvet cover was priced at £14.97 and at such a great price, I did have my concerns as to whether or not the cover would be of a good quality but I was pleasantly surprised when I took the cover out of the packaging and could feel how thick the cotton was. It was much heavier and not thin/see through compared to many other budget sets available from the high street.

I love the fact that it is reversible. I can flip the cover for a different look and mix and match with the pillows too!

Overall I was really pleased with this duvet set. The price and the quality was fantastic and I would certainly recommend elinens to anyone. They offer such a wide range of bed linen, door mats, towels, shower curtains and more. You are sure to find something you'll love!

I personally love the products in their Best of British range which you can check out by clicking here!

Review - Playfoam From Learning Resources

Aalliyah is very creative and one thing she loves as much as sketching and painting is building, whether its making models out of clay or designing cities with old shoe boxes. So when we were given the opportunity to review Playfoam, as you can imagine Aalliyah was very excited.

Playfoam is a fantastic moulding product which is completely different to any "dough" products out there. Playfoam is amazing! It never dries out, is totally mess free, has no sticky residue so will not stick to carpets or soft furnishings and what's more, when you mix the colours they do not blend into one bland colour like dough does, but instead mixes to make a wonderful multi coloured foam.

Upon opening the packet, Aalliyah decided after sorting the colours she wanted to mix them all and make a mass of multi coloured foam to start building with. The foam has a sticky feel to the touch, much like sellotape, but leaves no residue on your skin and can literally be moulded into anything. You can really let your imagination run wild, as you can see I too got a little over exited with the Playfoam!

One of the key features of Playfoam is the fact that it never dries out. This was something I was a bit dubious of, so when Aalliyah went to get it the next day I was amazed to see that it was exactly as we had left it. No need for any air tight containers or to even cover it. Playfoam stays in the same state and is ready to be played with over and over again.

I have had so many people asking me where they can get their hands on some Playfoam. The minute they have a play with it they are hooked! I cannot recommend this product highly enough.

As you can see in the following video, Aalliyah has fashioned herself a glove and played some catch! The possibilities really are endless and there is so much fun to be had with Playfoam.

The Perfect Playlist

With thousands of studies conducted , it has now been scientifically proven that there is a link between music and performance. This got me thinking of my own work outs and how when ever I am working out at home or going for a power walk or jog outside, I seem to listen to the same tracks. There are certain tracks in my playlists that automatically give me a boost and make me run/walk faster and work out harder.

So with that in mind I have compiled a list of my own personal top ten tracks, which for me help me the get the best out of my workouts. This is not just a list of the latest songs, nor is a list that anyone will probably agree with, but these are my own personal favourites.

I'd love to get your opinion? Do you have your own tracks that you workout to? Or is there a certain song that just pushes you that extra mile?

My Top Ten!

10 - Rihanna ft Calvin Harris - We Found Love (Cahill Remix)
9 - Will I Am ft Nicki Minaj - Check It Out
 8 - David Guetta - Titanium
 7 - Nicki Minaj - Super Bass
6 - Jermaine Stewart - Clothes Off (My "VERY" guilty secret song)
5 - Lady GaGa - Marry The Night
 4 - LMFAO - Party Rock Anthem
3 - Swedish House Mafia - Don't you worry child
 2 - Nicki Minaj - Starships
1 - Florence And The Machine - Spectrum

The best thing about working out is being able to enjoy it. So whatever you choose to listen to... Have fun getting fit!

Eco-Straws Review

Eco-Straws offer a fantastic innovative new product, the 100% eco friendly straw. Being a parent, I buy my fair share of straws, mostly for my daughter and any picnic or tea parties that may crop up, but also for those lovely special "mummy" drinks we wait all week long for. So I was excited to test out these drinking straws.

Eco-Straws offer 3 different types of drinking straws.

Straw with a bend - One of the most common types of drinking straw used and suitable for a wide variety of drinks.
Straight up straw - Again suitable for a variety of different drinks, but most favoured for use with those frozen drinks, smoothies and milkshakes.
Straw spoon - Exactly as it sounds, a straight straw with the added bonus of a spoon which is perfect for the slush puppy style iced drinks/cocktails as well as those yummy milkshakes and ice cream floats!

These straws are manufactured using the highest quality stainless steel which is food safe, allowing them to be used with hot and cold drinks. They can be used time and time again without any signs of deterioration and are also freezer and dishwasher safe.

And if you're thinking, "Hmm.. But how would I clean it?" Then never fear as they also sell these super cute and very nifty cleaners which are perfect at cleaning them every time.

As you can see Aalliyah has already nabbed her favourite straw from the bunch! We both give eco-straws a massive thumbs up and highly recommend them.

Fancy checking them out for yourself? Then head on over to "eco-straws" and have a look around their site. The straws are available in different sized packs to suit your needs and at a great price!

Apps Magazine - Review

One thing I am never without is my iPhone and I am regularly downloading apps to make my life easier to manage and easier to share with all you lovely people. Then there are all those lovely little games which I have downloaded with the intention of passing 5 minutes of the day but end up sucking me right in! Candy Crush and What Saying? spring to mind!

I was thrilled to be given the opportunity to review a fantastic Apps magazine and was giddy at thought of a coffee and and some peace and quite to read it from cover to cover. Yes sad I know, but don't judge me and my mini pleasures in life.

I was thrilled with the quantity of high quality articles featured in the magazine. It was bursting with over 400 app reviews as well as many tutorials to help you get the most from your smart device. So whether you are a budding photographer, a medical student or even an avid gamer, you will be stumped to not find something of interest in this magazine. All genres are catered for and it also gives you a chart of the best paid and unpaid apps. Look out for the odd competition too! You may get lucky. Overall this is a fabulous magazine and one I will definitely be purchasing in the future.

The cover price of this magazine is £4.99 which when you consider the massive amount of content you get, is worth every penny. Why not head over to "Lets Subscribe" where you can save up to 30% with a magazine subscription.

Delicious - Magazine Review

Delicious magazine offers readers so much more than your typical "foodie" magazine. Not only is it bursting with mouthwatering recipes and meal ideas, its also packed full of indispensable articles from healthy eating to the top ten must have kitchen gadgets, not to mention all the stunning food photography! This is a definite must have magazine for anyone who enjoys spending time in the kitchen.

At first I was concerned that like a lot of other magazines in a similar genre, the magazine would be full of adverts and that when it came down to it, the actual content would be a tiny amount. I couldn't have been more wrong. Yes, there were adverts but these were few and far between, and each one relevant to the magazines niche.
I fully recommend this magazine, whether you cook a little or a lot, there is something for everyone inside!

Why not head over to "Lets Subscribe" where you can subscribe to this and many other magazines and even bag yourself a massive saving in the process! The cover price of this magazine is £3.80 and worth every penny. But you can save up to 31% through a 12 month subscription.
